La música pop (del inglés pop music, contracción de popular music) es un género de música popular que tuvo su origen a finales de los años 1950 como una derivación del tradicional pop, en combinación con otros géneros musicales que estaban de moda en aquel momento. Los términos música pop y música popular se usan a menudo de manera indistinta, aunque el segundo tiene un sentido más amplio al dar cabida a otros géneros distintos del pop que se consideren populares.
Robin Miriam Carlsson, más conocida como Robyn (nacida el 12 de junio de 1979 en Estocolmo, Suecia), es una cantante pop sueca, con fama en el continente europeo. Además de desempeñar una carrera en solitario, realiza colaboraciones para otros grupos y es compositora. Entre sus temas más conocidos se encuentra With every heartbeat, publicado en 2007 en colaboración con Kleerup y con el que fue número 1 en la lista de singles Británicos.
Aunque su carrera musical comenzó en la década de 1990, Robyn ya realizó un par de grabaciones para programas infantiles de televisión con solo 12 años. Su descubridora fue la cantante sueca Meja, que decidió convertirse en su primera representante mediante un acuerdo con sus padres. Tras terminar la educación secundaria, Robyn firmó con la discográfica Ricochet Records Sweden, subsidiaria de BMG.
