La música pop (del inglés pop music, contracción de popular music) es un género de música popular que tuvo su origen a finales de los años 1950 como una derivación del tradicional pop, en combinación con otros géneros musicales que estaban de moda en aquel momento. Los términos música pop y música popular se usan a menudo de manera indistinta, aunque el segundo tiene un sentido más amplio al dar cabida a otros géneros distintos del pop que se consideren populares.
Demetria Devonne Lovato Hart, conocida profesionalmente como Demi Lovato, es una cantautora estadounidense. Nació el 20 de agosto de 1992 en Dallas, Texas, Estados Unidos.
A pesar de haber comenzado su carrera a la edad de 6 años, no fue sino hasta los 15 cuando se lanzó a la fama gracias a la película para la televisión de Disney “Camp Rock” en Toronto, Canadá en 2008. En co-estelar con Joe Jonas, líder de la banda Jonas Brothers, lanzó su primer sencillo: “This Is Me”. El éxito del sencillo impulsó la carrera de Lovato, posteriormente lanzó su primer sencillo como solista: “Get Back de su álbum debut: “Don't Forget”, mismo que alcanzó el lugar #2 del Billboard 200, vendiendo 89.000 copias la primera semana. El segundo sencillo fue “La La Land” y el tercero “Don't Forget” con el que lanzó una versión deluxe de su primer álbum; añadiendo “Behind the Enemy Lines” y “Lo Que Soy”, versión en español de “This Is Me”, canción incluída en el soundtrack de “Camp Rock”.
