Little Joy es una banda brasileña/norteamericana de rock formada en el año 2007 por el guitarrista y cantante de Los Hermanos, Rodrigo Amarante, el baterista de The Strokes, Fabrizio Moretti y Binki Shapiro teniendo como base la ciudad de Los Ángeles, California, U.S.A . Rodrigo Amarante (cantante y guitarrista de Los Hermanos) y Fabrizio Moretti se conocieron en un festival de música en Lisboa, charlaron y bromearon sobre la posibilidad de hacer algo juntos que no tuviese nada que ver el estilo de sus bandas.
Un año después, Amarante viajó a Estados Unidos para grabar con Devendra Banhart, en el álbum Smokey Rolls Down Thunder Canyon, el cuál ha debido de colaborar con el 90 % de los músicos del mundo. Aprovechó para volver a ver a Moretti y así se fue fraguando el proyecto.
