El metal es un estilo de música basado en sonidos fuertes y poderosos que inspiran al que los oye, generalmente un sentimiento de enojo, ira, odio que usualmente son dirigidos hacia la sociedad donde vivimos, la vida diaria, el sistema político en algunos casos, en otros podemos encontrar temáticas que van desde religión, satanismo, muerte, sexo, violencia, soledad, melancolía. El metal tiene diversas formas y estilos, que van desde rápido pero no tan gutural, hasta el punto muy rápido y muy gutural. Los estilos son muy variados, y cada cual tiene sus ritmos, sonidos y temáticas respectivas.
Formado en 1987 por :Nikolai Naskov ( voz ), Alexei Belov ( guitarra ),Yan Yanenkov ( guitarra ),Alexander Minkow ( bajo )y Sascha Lvov ( bateria) , Gorky Park es el primer grupo de rock de la U.R.S.S. y Rusia en conquistar el panorama internacional. Descubiertos por 'Bon jovi' en su visita a la Unión Sovietica en 1988, el grupo graba un álbum, titulado bajo el mismo nombre del grupo: "Gorky Park" (1989), siendo un muy digno representante del rock ruso. Participan en el 'Moscow Music For Peace' de 1989,junto bandas del momento.Luego con el fin de la 'Perestroika' , la fama del grupo disminuye bastante y Naskov abandona la banda en 1990, y Minkow pasó a ser el vocalista . En 1992 llega 'Moskow Calling' el segundo album que consigue vender 500.000 copias . En 1996 sacan el tercer album 'Stare' solo editado en Rusia, y el grupo sale de gira por Rusia y ex republicas sovieticas.En 1998 ve la luz 'Protivofazza' su cuarto y ultimo album.En 1999 Minkow inicia carrera en solitario bajo el nombre de 'Alexander Marshall' , Belov y Yanenkov seguen desempeñando GP de canciones bajo el nombre de "Belova Park" (Parque Belov).
El 12 de septiembre de 2007 la banda se reune para actuar en festivales , y en 2008 el grupo recibe el premio 'Muz-TV' por la contribución a la musica rock . Grupo altamente recomendable si te gustan, Bon Jovi , Scorpions , Firehouse, Tyketto,ect...
