Género musical derivado de melodías de los negros estadounidenses, que se caracteriza por ser a menudo improvisado y por ser su ritmo muy marcado. El jazz es una forma musical que surgió en el sur de los Estados Unidos, a partir de la población negra que conformaban los esclavos que trabajaban en las plantaciones de tabaco y de algodón.
El productor y teclista Paul Hardcastle nació el 10 de Diciembre de 1957 en Londres, Inglaterra. Su álbum “19” fue un gran éxito en su país natal a mediados de los 80, usando noticias e información periodística sobre Vietnam como tema principal. Hardcastle ha trabajado con otros muchos artistas como Jai Graham, bajo el nombre Kiss the Sky. Entre sus álbums destacan “Zero One” en 1985, “Jazzmasters II” en 1994, “Hardcastle 2” en 1996, y el CD doble de grandes éxitos “Cover to Cover” en 1997. Más tarde publicó “Hardcastle 4” y otra colección de grandes éxitos en 2005.
