El período musical del barroco introdujo una transformación importante en todo lo que era la música de la época. Poco después, los instrumentos del renacimiento todavía se perfeccionaron más, para conseguir un sonido más claro y más definido. La música instrumental abarca varios subgéneros: partiendo de la música clásica, canciones del rock, de jazz, bandas sonoras, música electrónica, y mucho más.
Yanni Chrysomallis (Γιάννης Χρυσομάλλης en griego) músico, autor, intérprete y compositor griego nacido en Kalamata el 14 de noviembre de 1954, su música reúne los géneros orquestal, instrumental y lírico.
De niño dominaba el piano, aunque no cursó lecciones para este instrumento. En su tiempo libre interpretaba canciones del momento. Vivió en su Grecia natal hasta los 14 años y tiempo después, a los 18 años, se estableció en los Estados Unidos para luego dar a conocer su nuevo sistema de notación musical.
