Se conoce como música electrónica a aquella que se genera a través de determinados aparatos electrónicos como el sintetizador o el sampler y que puede ser concebida en su totalidad a partir de los sonidos y melodías que producen estas máquinas... o bien a una canción ya creada y terminada por un artista, a la cual se la modifica a través y gracias a la aplicación de esta tecnología, dando lugar a una nueva creación artística que conservará en su base el sonido y la letra de la original.
Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll (Bergen, Noruega, 11 de septiembre de 1991), mejor conocido por su nombre artístico Kygo, es un DJ y productor noruego. En la actualidad ocupa el puesto número 33 en la encuesta realizada en 2015 por la revista DJmag, entrando por primera vez en este top. Es conocido mundialmente gracias a sus dos éxitos: "Stole the show" y "Firestone" los dos reproducidos más de 300 millones de veces cada uno en Spotify. Kygo ha acumulado más de 100 millones de visitas en su música en Soundcloud y YouTube. Después de un gran avance en 2014, se le preguntó por el vocalista de Coldplay, Chris Martin, para crear un remix de la canción "Midnight".
El 1 de diciembre de 2014, lanzó su primer sencillo "Firestone", con la voz de Conrad (monónimo de Conrad Sewell) con el cual logró el reconocimiento internacional ubicándose en los primeros puestos en las listas europeas. El 15 de marzo de 2015, lanzó su segundo single, titulado "Stole the Show".
