La música country es un estilo musical nacido de la influencia de otros muchos estilos que tiene su origen en Estados Unidos, principalmente, y que debido a la influencia discográfica y cinematográfica se extiende rápidamente a países de habla inglesa como Nueva Zelanda, Australia y Canadá, a primeros de los años 30. Estos países contaban con elementos de folklore similares, aún con sus diferencias, razón por la cual arraigó fuertemente.
Gregory Lenoir Allman (nació en diciembre 8, 1947 en Nashville, Tennessee), es un rockero, cantante de blues, instrumentista, guitarrista y escritor de música. Mejor conocido por ser el fundador de la banda de los hermanos Allman. El ha sido introducido al salón de la fama del Rock and Roll en 1995 con la banda de los hermanos Allman. Y personalmente recibió una condecoración por una vida de éxitos por parte del salón de la fama de música de Georgia en el 2006
La banda de los hermanos Allman es una banda seminal del denominado rock sureño originaria de Macon, Georgia, EE. UU., descrita por el Salón de la Fama del Rock como "los principales arquitectos del rock sureño". El grupo se formó en 1969 y dos años más tarde George Kimball los describió en la revista Rolling Stone como la mejor banda de rock and roll que se había creado en Estados Unidos en los últimos cinco años.. Sigue activa en la actualidad.
