Eureka Seven nos narra la historia de un chico de 14 años llamado Renton, cuya única pasión en la vida es surfear las olas de Trapar, un maná que permite flotar sobre el mismísimo aire y descubrir el significado del aparate que su padre le dejó. La vida cotidiana de Renton no es nada del otro mundo. Ayuda a su abuelo con la reparación de mechas y acude al colegio desganado, donde solo consigue que sus compañeros se rian de el.
