Only humans, we don't know for sure
As to where that we're going, or why that we're here
We got short ones and small ones, tall ones and fat ones
Mean ones, nice ones, good ones and bad ones
Little ones, big ones, white ones and black ones
Green ones, purple ones, yellow ones, mellow ones
Whatever you want, we've got
All these people, they grow up and become
All kinds of crazy things
But when they're young, they become altruists
Egoists, liberals, and chauvinists
Them, they kill it, it's agnostic
Stoics and jingoists
Fascists, conservatives, atheists and Christians
Theorists, democrats, scientists and politicians
Doctors and vigilants, priests and witches
Theologists, philosophers, psychologists, geologists
Noxious musicians, doctors and thieves
Teachers, writers, doctors, artists and well, whatever one believes
On and on, of course
We've got lots of plants and animals too
But we've got them all, the people do
We can't get along without the supposed, supposed to be real
We need all kinds of devices for all to feel
We've got cars and trains and planes and boats
Television, radio and Quaker roads
Transportation, communication, inoculation, evacuation, discrimination
Pop, page, I only enjoy the animation
Toys and chill, and I'm high as a junk
There's nothing to join with, and leave in a huff
But I hope you don't mind the materialistic world
Cause that's the way that we are, us boys and girls
And speaking of togetherness, sometimes neither
We can't live with, or without either
Making more people seem like so much fun
When us boys and girls get together as one
There's more population without a destination
Bring more pollution without a solution
There's more love to keep us all together
There's more time to keep us in time
There's more death so we can hold one more breath
There's more good that's coming our way than our needs
There's more food for us all to devour
There's more water so I can take another shower
There's more power so we can have more lives
And more very big day and nights
It's all part of the game
It's all part of life
It's all part of our culture you see
It makes us be famous, be what we be
But we don't know where we're going
We don't know where we're from
We just love and we hate it all
And have a lot of fun, yeah!
So if you're going out there, take my advice, know your fear
Don't mess with your mind, they'll send you back here
And if they don't kill you, I'll fill you with nausea
They'll drug you and kill you, save you nostalgia
Or put you in bottles, catalyze what they find
And you sing if they cough, and you tether to your mind
Or love you, or bribe you, or try and get what you've got
Or they'll leave you dead lying in the gutter to rot
But don't get me wrong, it's not all bad
It's really all beautiful, whether sane or mad
It's all part of history, so it's gone forever
Everywhere in the universe, whether or not, or whether
