Advance in swirling overcoat
The man called Shadow's after dark
He looked on ribboned head in front
Skipping to the empty park
He ran inside to vacant stretch
The footsteps were so soft behind her
Disappearing through the gate

The night drew in and watched them there
A cat and mouse but who could tell
