The golden battalions of enlightment
Started to break the sovereignty of nature.

However the chains lashed themselves
With every clamour more firmly.
The desire to take the dread from people has failed.
Humanity inaugurated in a new age of barbarism.

Under the banner of freedom
The hope bringers rode to their doom.

There is an angel staring at the pile of debris called civilisation.
His wings are spread, his mouth is open
Willing to repair the things that have been broken.
But there's a storm blowing from paradise
And this storm is called progress.
The history of freedom has not been written, yet.
